Fire Service and Community Support

From 2012 to 2022, through sponsor support and proceeds from product sales at its Distribution Centre, the Council has provided over $20 million in community support to fire departments and associations to assist in their public education and training efforts.

Another example of this is through our partnership with Enbridge Gas. Their generous contribution over the years has allowed us to fund the distribution of 72,348 combination smoke/carbon monoxide alarms to departments, which are given free of charge to community residents most in need. 

Our Annual 12 Days of Holiday Fire & CO Safety, allows departments to provide fire and CO safety education through their local radio stations. Since 2014 the Council has provided prize packages worth over $131,214

From 2022 to 2024 we are providing $750,000 in grant money to help departments meet the training requirements required for Ontario firefighters.
